Homage to Nature
WEST VIRGINIA ROCKS COLLECTION
I visited the mountains of West Virginia in Summer 2022 and collected the most amazing orange and rust rocks as well as some shale. Being that I love foraging and often bring back a lot of rocks and other materials that pile up in my studio, I challenged myself to use all of the rocks I brought back from West Virginia in this series. I made 7 mosaics and actually used up just about all that I collected. The design of these mosaics was inspired by the colors and shapes of these rocks. I had a lot of joy in creating this series!
